Celia K. Harris, of Fredonia, Kansas, age 64, died Saturday, March 13, 2010. Celia was born on December 7, 1945 in Cheyenne Wyoming, the daughter of Clifford and Kathryn (Lawrence) Long.
Celia was a school teacher for 40 years. She worked 32 years in the public school systems and 8 years at Greenbush. She taught at Grants, New Mexico, Corpus Christie, Texas and Fredonia, Kansas.
Celia was very active in the community: She currently was the president of the Fredonia Business Women’s Organization, Board Member and President of the Fredonia Arts Council, member of the Fredonia Library, and Historical Society. A Charter member of I.T.S.O., and a long time member of KNEA-NEA. She was involved with the Neewollah Productions for the past 13 years, and accompanied many groups for back ground music throughout the years.

Celia was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Long
Cremation has been requested. Friends may come and sign a registry book on Wednesday March 17, 2010 from 2 until 7 pm at the funeral home. A private family service will be held at a later date.
