I had the pleasure of working with Dani at Russell Stover Chocolates and I cannot say enough about how much I really enjoyed working with her. Dani had never been in this type of position before (Safety Manager) and she picked up on all the OSHA stuff so fast and she did a fantastic job at whatever she was asked to do. She always gave 110% of herself and was always trying to learn as much as she possibly could. She inspired me how she never stopped trying to learn and educate herself. Today at work, I was able to pull up some archived email exchanges her and I had and all the certificate of training completions she sent to me for our files in KC. After she left, we kept in touch. She sent me a Christmas card, called me for advice, friends on Facebook, sent each other text messages, including the last one I have saved saying, "Happy Mother's Day." I wished her one, too, because I know her son was the light of her life. She asked me if she could use me as a reference for future jobs and I said "of course." Her smile, dedication, determination, humor, creativity, strength, courage, passion and love for so many will be greatly missed. I heard the news of her passing last Thursday through our mutual friend and co-worker Russell LeMonds and we have such heavy hearts. Danielle's family is in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. I will ALWAYS remember her. ALWAYS. I am sorry I could not make it to the visitation tonight, but you are all in my prayers.
