I have one best friend and he was it. When he would beat me at something he would tease me and say as if to a little boy that just skinned his knee. "It's ok.... its ok...." he would have laughed with me knowing his last words while they worked on him were "i'm ok.. I'm ok"
Diablo his dog, I had begged Mike for years that he needed a dog, NO NO NO was always the answer, Diablo ran into my warehouse and jumped into a box. Less than a year old, starving, covered with filth and mange. But a sweet little dog that never left my side at work. took him home washed him several times and called Mike. I got a dog for you, NO, Im coming to your work, NO, Im right around the corner, NO. Im in your parking lot, Mike comes out and Diablo runs to him and puts his paws up on his thighs looking up at him. Mike looked and me like, did you teach him to do that? No he didn't do it to me and Ive had his to 2 days now. he petted that mange coverd dog for 20 mins and I left. Later he called and said "you still got that dog, yes, I think I want him" the last time I saw him he thanked me as he had donea million times about that dog and how that was one of the best things anyone had ever done for him. When I would ask him about D he would always say "He's a good little dog"
When we would play golf and I would get there early to warm up I would ask him if he wanted to hit some, "Practice I don't need no stinking practice"
Gentleman. I have met thousands of people in my life, I have only met one gentleman, Mike was that man.
I will truly miss him.
Regards and Love for my only best friend
