Dear Kent, David, John and families,
Sincere condolences to each of you as you grieve the loss of Wanda Colleen Reece. Please know many friends have missed her these past few years already. She was also a member of my PEO Chapter LK of Cedar Falls. I thoroughly enjoyed her friendship at those meetings and get togethers. First off, Wanda always came impeccably dressed in gorgeous apparel. She was the point leader to start us off on the proper note to sing our little opening song and whenever musical accompaniment was necessary we got to hear her stroke those piano keys. It was endearing to hear her excuse herself towards the close of our afternoon gatherings as “she had a student coming to the house for a lesson.” Wanda was always willing to share a program with our group and I recall a few of them fondly. One was entitled “Who In the World Is George Sand?” Being a women’s educational group it seemed odd we’d be hearing a report on any male. Alas, George Sand was a French novelist and good friend of Chopin’s! Another year we were hearing programs about our family or hometown so she shared her Wing family history. Still other times Wanda would share musical programs or assist a PEO Sister with musical themes. Wanda was a remarkable woman, I am glad to have shared in knowing her and will cherish my memories of her. May your Christian faith uphold you through these days ahead, the love of family, support of friends and fond memories flood your hearts with comfort.

Kent, we are thinking of you, John, David and their families at this sad time. Wanda was a lovely and talented lady admired by so many. I’m glad she was our friend.
Love, Kay & Willard Jenkins
