Nina Marie Bilyeu

January 5, 1935 - November 1, 2019

Nina Marie Bilyeu, age 84, of Chanute KS, passed away on November 1, 2019 in Olathe, KS. Nina was born on January 5, 1935 in Chanute, KS the daughter of George and Mildred (Alcock) Wood. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1952. On November 30, 1952, Nina married William Gene Bilyeu in Chanute, KS. Gene preceded her in death on May 27, 2012. Nina enjoyed life to the fullest and loved to travel. She loved her family dearly and spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She also enjoyed going out to dinner with her friends and family. Nina was a member and elder at the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute, Chapter DD of PEO and Safari Scarlett’s. Nina is survived by Children: Greg Bilyeu and wife Nancy of Chanute, KS Brian Bilyeu and wife Deb of Olathe, KS Cindy Sanders and husband Jason of Owasso, OK Granddaughters: Emilee Rehling of Olathe, KS Alyssa July of Lee’s Summit, MO Jenna Dyke of Castle Rock, CO Grandson: Jerod Dyke of Lawrence, KS Sister-In-Law Dot Wood of Mesa, AZ Nieces and Nephews: Sandy Moon and husband Steve of Olathe, KS Karen Ferazzi of Freindswood, TX Mark Zoellers and wife Gale of Frisco, TX Scott Zoellers and wife Valerie of Centralia, MO David Zoellers and wife Ginny of Centralia, MO Nina was preceded in death by her husband William Gene; parents, brother, Jack Wood and sister, Dorothy Zoellers. Cremation has been requested. A celebration of life will be on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church in Chanute, KS. The family will greet friends and family on Friday, November 8, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. The family suggests memorials to be made to First Presbyterian Church in Chanute and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
