Nora Toletha Kirkpatrick

December 9, 1945 - July 15, 2019

Nora Toletha Kirkpatrick, 73, of Eureka, Ks died Monday, July 15, 2019 at the Life Care Center in Andover. Nora was born on December 9, 1945 in Montgomery, Alabama. She was to born to John Tillery Raines Sr. and Audrey Mae (Shaver) Raines. After graduating high school at Robert E. Lee in Montgomery, AL, Nora later continued on to college and graduated with a degree in nursing and started her career as a RN. In 1971, she married Wayne Douglas Cox Jr. until he death in 1975. On July 8, 1978, Nora married Donal P. Kirkpatrick. They were married 36 years until his death on September 30, 2014. Nora loved animals and was a dedicated member of the American Quarter Horse Association. Nora loved racing her horses, playing bingo and most of all, spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include 7 children: Angela F. Haring of Benton, KS, Johnathan J. Goodwin of Valley Center, KS, Audrey L. Cook of Haysville, KS, Wayne D. Cox of Columbus, MS, Erin T. Kirkpatrick of El Dorado, KS, Kelly C. Kirkpatrick of Eureka, KS and Donna R. Kirkpatrick of Eureka, KS. Brother: John T. Raines Jr. of The Villages, FL. Sister: Audrey C. Campbell of Prattville, AL. Nora had 13 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by both parents, husband Donal P. Kirkpatrick, brother Ernest F. Raines, and her two step-children, Vernon P. Kirkpatrick and Vicki Bryant. Graveside services will be held on Friday, July 19, 2019 at 10:00 AM in Hamilton, KS at the Janesville Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Rainbow Meadows Equine Rescue and sent to Countryside Funeral Home, 420 S. 20th St, P.O. Box 247, Fredonia, KS, 66736.
