Patsy Dee Fulghum

December 19, 1948 - November 16, 2021

On Tuesday, November 16th, 2021, Patsy Dee Fulghum, 72, passed away at home surrounded by her family. Patsy was born on December 19th, 1948 in Strawn, Kansas to Merle Delong and Jodi (Bell) Delong. She graduated from Burlington High School in 1966. She married James Means and had two daughters, Tami and DeeAnn. They were later divorced. She married Robert Fulghum on May 22nd, 1981. They had two children, Kimberly and Derik. Patsy was a paraprofessional for USD 484 from 1990 to 2005. She then worked for the Wilson County Sheriff’s Office from 2005 until she retired in 2014. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Altar Society, and Merino Rainbow WEC Unit. Patsy was known by many as someone who always had a smile and a kind heart. She had a generous and giving spirit that always made her willing to listen and help those around her. When Patsy gave a hug, you knew you were hugged and felt love, warmth and a sense of comfort. Patsy is survived by her loving husband, Robert Her four children Tami Harman, husband Jason, DeeAnn Magathan, husband Chuck, Kimberly Clearwater (husband Nick, deceased), and Derik Fulghum, wife Ami Grandchildren, Christian, McKenna, Parker, Alison, Grant, Blake, Jesse, and Zoie Sisters, Carolyn, and Alice; brothers, Chuck, and Larry Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 21st, 2021 from 6:30 to 8:30 pm at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia, Kansas. Rosary will be recited Monday, November 22nd, 2021 at 10:00 am followed by funeral mass at 11:00 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 1224 Madison St, Fredonia, Kansas. There will be a luncheon following. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Home Town Health Care and Hospice or the American Cancer Research Center and Foundation, and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
