September 12, 1939 - November 2, 2019

Sharlett Ford, age 80 of Chanute, KS, passed away on Saturday, November 2, 2019 at NMRMC in Chanute, KS. Sharlett was born on September 12, 1939 in Pineville, MO the daughter of Curt and Effie (Letterman) Pierce. Sharlett graduated from Pineville High School in Pineville, MO in 1958. Sharlett worked at HBD in Chanute and retired from there after 37 years. After retirement she worked at Walmart as a greeter. Sharlett was an avid bowler. She was a member of the American Legion Auxillary and past president of the Elks in 1991, 1992 & 1993. Sharlett is survived by: Brother: Curt Arnold Pierce of Little Kansas, OK 5 Grandchildren Sharlett was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Deborah Renee; grandchild, Misty Dawn Holder and siblings, Phoenix Pierce, Benton Pierce and Betty Jo Pierce Funeral service will be on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Johnson Chapel at 101 N. Highland, Chanute, KS. Interment will follow at High Prairie Cemetery north of Altoona, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to the Devon Bowling Memorial Fund and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 101 N. Highland, and Chanute, KS 66720.
