He was the most intelligent person I ever new. He was my hero ever since I was a little girl and I miss him more than anyone could imagine. I miss you papa.

Jim was a great mentor to me when I was a teenage ham in high school. I lived about a half mile away and use to ride my bike over to his place before I bought my first car. We worked on many satellite earth station and repeater projects over the years. One of my fondest memories with Jim was watching the NASA media video feed and listening to the first Shuttle STS-1 launch communications audio at his place. It was exciting stuff back then.

I credit him and his earth station training with helping me get my first tech job. This set me on the path to where I am today. He will be missed.
