Alex Jack Blankenship's Obituary
Alex Jack Blankenship age 54 of Independence died Wednesday July 26, 2017 at Via Christi Hospital in Pittsburgh, KS. Alex was born September 14, 1962 in Fredonia, KS the son of Jack and Helen (Thowe) Blankenship.
Alex was a graduate of Fredonia High School class of 1981. Alex married Michelle Verge and they later divorced, On September 26, 2014 in Miami, OK Alex married Deborah L. Musgrove and she survives at their home. Alex served in the US Army and ARNG for 23 years.
Alex was a member of American Legion Post 309 in Independence. Alex was a member of the Fall River United Methodist Church, he enjoyed bowling, traveling, going fishing and could repair just about anything. Alex enjoyed being a truck driver and was currently employed by Scoular Grain Company of Pittsburg, KS.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, August 3, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia at 10:00 AM with Pastor Susan Galvan officiating, burial will follow at the Eureka Cemetery in Eureka, KS. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 2, 2017 from 4-7 PM at the funeral home.
