Alfred "Al" Jesseph's Obituary
Alfred “Al” Jesseph, 88, of Chanute passed away on Monday, March 26, 2024 at Neosho Memorial Regional Hospital. Al was born June 12, 1935 in Iola, KS. Al grew up in Iola, moved to New York with his family, before coming back to Kansas and eventually settling in Chanute. Al was a great man who was built Ford Tough, much like the truck that he took such great care of over the years. Al took great pride in the fact that he served in the United States Army, from 1954 - 1958. Al worked for several years in the automotive industry and spent countless hours in the oil fields.
Al will always be remembered as a remarkable father, grandfather, and friend and will be missed by all who knew him. Al loved racing and passed that trait down to numerous members of his family. A love of cars was something Al was known for. From detailing to working on cars, Al had incredible knowledge under the hood. One of Al’s favorite past times was going to car shows with family and friends.
Al is survived by his partner in life, Sharon Wolfe, of the home, sons James Jesseph and his wife Amy, Dale Jesseph and his wife Tammy, daughter Carrie Jesseph, all of Chanute, and daughter Debbie Falls, of New York. Al left behind a legacy of several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Al was preceded in death by his parents, and a daughter, Cindy Jesseph.
Cremation has been requested and the family will receive friends for a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at 3:00 PM at Church of the Nazarene: 1313 West 14th Street in Chanute. A dinner will be served for the family after the service. Memorials have been suggested to Howard’s Car Museum or Cherry Street Youth Center and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
