Alma Avon Haddan's Obituary
Alma Avon Haddan, age 83, of Stark, KS, passed away Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Heritage Healthcare in Chanute, KS. She was born on December 23, 1933 in Stark, KS, the daughter of Avon and Maude (Gemmill) Doty. On May 16, 1954, Alma married James Haddan at the Friends Church of Stark. He survives her at their home.
Alma was a loving wife to Jim and a loving mother to their son, Troy Lynn. She worked as a seamstress for many years. She loved her German Shepherd dogs, dancing, and enjoyed watching local musicians.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents; son, Troy Lynn; sister, Opal Mainey; and brother, Johnie Doty.
Visitation will be held from 5-7:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel in Chanute, KS. A funeral service will be on Friday, November 3, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel. Interment will follow at Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Stark, KS.
