Alma Phillips' Obituary
Alma Phillips age 92, of Fredonia, died Thursday, December 13, 2018 at her home. Alma was born on September 10, 1926 in Holly, CO., the daughter of Harry Hughes and Mary Alice (Rice) Roseberry.
On February 10, 1945, Alma married Charley A. Morgan, they were married for 42 years until his death of April 24, 1987. On November 8, 1993 in Yates Center, KS, Alma married George Sterling Phillips. Alma and George were married for 22 years until his death on November 22, 2015.
Alma was a homemaker and a mother. Alma was one of the first hospitality managers at Flint Oak, where she had worked for a little over 10 years. She enjoyed sewing, crochet work and painting. She was always ready to go, loving to travel and camp. When her children were young she was active in their activities, and was also a Den-Mother. Most of all, Alma enjoyed her friends, and loved her family.

Alma was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Charley A. Morgan and George Sterling Phillips, Brother Jack Brown and Great Grandson Blake Stapleford.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 17, 2018 at 2:00 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia, with burial to follow at Weakly Cemetery in New Albany. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service time.
