Andrew L. Holzwarth's Obituary
Andrew (Andy) Loren Holzwarth, 51, of Altoona, KS, passed away on Tuesday,
February 24, 2026, due to injuries sustained from a UTV accident. Andy was born on
February 11, 1975, in Hoven, SD., the son of Loren and Bonnie (Vincent) Holzwarth.
After graduating Gettysburg High School in 1993, Andy came to Kansas on a custom
harvest crew, eventually attending Kansas State University, where he earned a Dual
Bachelor of Science Degrees in Agronomy and Ag Tech Management in 2000. During
his time at K State, he was deeply involved in Christian Challenge and the Wheat State
Agronomy Club, forming lifelong friendships and growing in his faith in Jesus Christ. His
passion for no till farming and agronomy was evident early, and he became a respected
voice and leader in advancing no till practices across Kansas and beyond.
Following graduation, Andy worked with Krone Equipment, Guetterman Brothers Family
Farms, and John Deere before founding Bottom Line Agronomy in 2004. Through his
consulting work, he provided farmers not only expert agronomic guidance, but also
steady leadership, loyalty, and trusted friendship. Though humble about his
accomplishments, Andy was widely recognized as a leader in progressive no till
systems and was involved with organizations including No Till on the Plains and
KARTA.
On March 16, 2021, Andy married the love of his life, Danelle A. Brown.
Andy had a remarkable capacity to love. His faith shaped every part of his life, and
many came to know the Lord more deeply because of his example. He was known for
his grace, loyalty, ability to listen, and genuine enthusiasm. He loved the open road,
healthy green fields, well designed farm machinery, diesel pickups, good tires,
teamwork, and time with friends.
Andy will be remembered for his quiet strength, deep faith, and the abundant love he
extended to others. He leaves behind family, friends, and a farming community better
because he walked among them.
Including his wife Danelle, Andy survives:
