Ann Marie Mize's Obituary
Ann Marie (Robertson) Mize, age 75 of Severy, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at Greenwood County Hospital in Eureka, KS.
Ann was born October 13, 1946, in Eureka, KS, to Clifford and Betty (Bauder) Robertson. She grew up in Howard alongside two brothers and graduated from Howard High School.
As a young lady, a man at Charlie's Café came to her table with a friend and started a conversation. It was an instant connection, and on October 13, 1967, she married Lyle Mize, that same young man. They shared 54 years together and raised three daughters.
They spent most of their years living in Severy. Ann worked in the Elk County Clerk’s office in Howard, Kansas and served as the Deputy County Clerk. She was active in Severy Baptist Church, helping with Vacation Bible School, and was the church treasurer for around 40 years. She enjoyed flower gardening, sharing pictures of nature with her kids and grandkids and going to the movies with Lyle. She had a talent for crocheting that she shared with her family and the occasional charity. She brought yarn with her whenever she left town and refused to make the same thing twice.
Ann was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She cherished her children and grandchildren, and will be missed by all of her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle
