Ann Toni Michelle Anderson's Obituary
Ann Toni Michelle Anderson (nee Jenkins) was one of 3 children born to Cree Boycelta Linze and Eddie Jenkins. Toni, as she preferred to be called, was born in Painesville, OH on June 22, 1942, and died at the VITAS Hospice, Methodist Hospital, Dallas on May 7, 2023. Toni resided in Grand Prairie, TX.
Toni graduated from Humboldt High School, Humboldt, KS. Toni met her future husband, when he relocated to Painesville, OH where he worked as a postman following his discharge from the military. They married on April 9, 1959, and subsequently moved to Humboldt, KS. This union produced five sons: Brandon LaMonte, Bryon Lawrence, Brett LaVelle, Bryce Landon, and Blaine Lamar. Later, daughter Nickia was added to the group.
Toni worked in manufacturing, clerical, and as an administrative assistant. But the job she most excelled at was that of mother, where she managed to wrangle six children to adulthood. She retired from Shawnee Mission Primary Care, Lenexa, KS.
Toni was proceeded in death by her husband Larry, son Bryon, and sister Dorian McClellan. She is survived by sister Jodi Johnson, sons Brandon (Lisa) of Grand Prairie, TX, Brett of Humboldt, KS, Bryce of Grand Prairie, TX, Blaine of Overland Park, KS, and daughter Nickia of Overland Park, KS, six grandchildren: Kelena Henry, Jareth, Trey, Shaela, James, and great-grandchildren Bentley of Chanute, KS and Kelcee Henry of Heartland, TX.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, May 19, 2023 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church Good News Center in Chanute, with burial to follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Humboldt, KS. Memorials have been suggested to either the Lewy Body Dementia Association or the Alzheimer's Association and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
