Anna Jane Fegel's Obituary
Anna Jane (Hole) Fegel, born October 22, 1925 joined her beloved husband Vyrl on January 11, 2024. She was born the first of 11. Though she lived in many places, she never lived outside Neosho County. After graduating from Chanute High School she taught school at North Valley Rural school. While attending a Valentine Party there, she met Vyrl Fegel. They were married 71 years before his death. While together, they farmed and raised livestock. They were active in the Farm Bureau, Pork Producers Association, Shaw Christian Church and the First Christian Church of Chanute. After retiring from farming and moving to town they enjoyed working at the Tioga. She enjoyed gardening, quilting, tending her flowers and collecting anything pig related. She was preceded in death by her parents Nathan and Eula (Barker) Hole, husband Vyrl and siblings, Darlene Hole, Ruth (M.C.) Russell, Jean (Jack ) Wilson, Xury Hole, Colleen (Carroll) Westendorf and brother-in-law Fred Byers. She is survived by her siblings, Charles (Beverly) Hole, Ivah Byers, Lester (Kay) Hole, Earl Wayne (Marie) Hole and Janice Hole and sister-in-law Valeta Hole along with many nieces, nephews and friends. Memorials have been suggested to First Christian Church of Chanute and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Funeral arrangements are being made through Countryside Funeral Home and services will be held Wednesday January 17 at 11:00 at the First Christian Church of Chanute. Visitation will precede the service at 9:30. Internment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.
