Anna Bernadette Huerter's Obituary
Anna Bernadette Huerter, age 86, of Chanute KS, passed away on Saturday, December 15, 2018 in Chanute, KS. Anna was born in Westphalia, KS on December 13, 1932, the daughter of Vincent and Caroline (Stahl) Hoefler. She graduated from Westphalia High School in 1951. She was married to Zenn Dale Ratliff for 31 years. He preceded her in death. Anna then married Robert Huerter in 1987 and he survives at their home.
Anna was a loving wife, mom, and grandmother with a great sense of humor. She had many interests but her real passion was her family. She loved music and was a great piano and organ player and had played the organ for 72 years. Anna enjoyed photography and she had put together a photo library for all of her family. Anna rarely missed an event that her kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids participated in. She was very active in church where she was involved in the choir, Altar Society, St. Cecilia Music Club, and Harvest House Club at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute. Anna also regularly attended an exercise group at Neosho County Community College. She will be missed dearly by those who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 19 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Chanute. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at St. Teresa Cemetery in Westphalia, KS at 2 p.m. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
