Anna May Walker's Obituary
Anna May (Beck) Walker, age 77, of Buffalo, KS, went to be with her Savior Saturday, August 20, 2016 in Buffalo, KS. Anna was born on May 11, 1939 in Chanute, KS the daughter of Ocie “Bill” and Flossie (Burt) Beck.

Anna grew up and attended school in Chanute, KS. On October 12, 1957, she married Donald “Don” R. Walker in Miami, OK. Together they raised their 5 children in addition to being fondly known as “Mom and Dad Walker” to many others. Anna loved her family and enjoyed being a grandma and great grandma. She loved music and sharing her talent for singing in church as well as residential care centers, until her health failed. She and her husband “Don” were also well known for their “jitterbug” dance style and talent.
Anna was a tiny woman full of energy and zest for life, much like the hummingbirds she adored. Anna was a member of New Life United Brethren Church in Chanute, KS.
Anna is survived by husband, Donald Walker; children: Teresa Kee of Chanute, KS, Bill Walker of Warrensburg, MO, Tammy Wilkins of Chanute, KS, Deona (Walker) Joy and husband Patrick “Brian” of Altoona, KS and Sabrina Walker of Buffalo, KS; sister, Susan “Susie” Beck of Mountain Home, Arkansas; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren and several Nieces and Nephews.
Anna was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Ethel Barnett; a brother, Billy Dean Beck; 2 grandsons, Jordan Walker and Bo James Kee and granddaughter, Sara Kee.
A Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home, Gibson Chapel at 16 N. Forest in Chanute, KS on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. A Funeral Service will be on Thursday, August 25, 2016 at 2 p.m. at New Life United Brethren Church in Chanute. Interment will be at Buffalo Cemetery in Buffalo, KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
