Anna M. Wilson's Obituary
Anna M. Wilson, age 90 passed away December 29, 2019. Anna was born November 1, 1929 in Chanute, KS to George and Golda Burghart. She graduated from Chanute High School in 1947.
Anna married Charles L. Wilson October 3, 1952 and moved to Wichita, where they lived 40 years. Anna was a member of the V.F.W. and the American Legion Auxiliary. Anna and Charles returned to Chanute in 1992. She and Charlie were active members of the First Christian Church in Chanute. Anna and Charlie enjoyed many years, dancing, bowling and camping.
Ann is survived by her husband Charlie of 67 years; two sons, Steve and wife Jackie of the Dallas area and Scott and wife Susie of Andover Kansas; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother, Garold Burghart and wife Mary Jane of Chanute.
Ann was preceded in death by her parents; a son Roderick; four sisters: Mary Nystrom, Pauline Siler, Betty Bright and Doreen Crater and two brothers, Ralph Burghart and Wayne Burghart.
The family will greet friends and family on Thursday, January 2, 2019 from 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute, Kansas. Funeral services will be on Friday, January 3, 2019 at 10 a.m. at the First Christian Church in Chanute, KS. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. The family suggests memorials to be made to First Christian Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home, 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS 66720.
