Anthony J. Weber's Obituary
Anthony J. “Tony†Weber, age 78, a resident of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Sunday, January 18, 2009 at Galichia Heart Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. Tony was born on June 24, 1930 in Wichita, Kansas the son of Anthony Mathew and Anna Marie (Rohling) Weber.
From 1953 to 1954 Tony served in the United States Army. On September 28, 1954 Tony was united in marriage to Alice C. Scheidt at Christ the King Catholic Church in Wichita, Kansas. He was a farmer and livestock producer. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia. Other memberships included Knights of Columbus Council 1291 where he was Past Grand Knight, National Farmers Organization, Elk City Rural Water District, Indian Mission Club, ASCS Board Member, and Wilson County Rural Fire. He also received the Wilson County Soil Conservation Award.
Tony is survived by his wife of 54 years Alice of Fredonia, two daughters; Janice Bell and her husband Ray of Coffeyville, Kansas and Donna Dilley and her husband Larry of Lancaster, California, two sons; Vincent Weber and his wife Rhonda of Fredonia, Kansas and Kevin Weber and his wife Lisa of Independence, Kansas, five brothers Gene of Wichita, Kansas, Paul and Alan both of Wellington, Kansas, Frank of Garnett, Kansas, and Charles of Beaver, Oklahoma, four sisters; Millie Eichman of Westmoreland, Kansas, Vera Kohls of Bella Vista, Arkansas, Bernice Zook of Houston, Texas and Norma Larson of Houston, Texas, ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Fredonia. Rosary will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at the church. Family suggests contributions to either the Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Wilson County Conservation District and may be left with the funeral home.
