Arthur Donald Simon's Obituary
Arthur Donald Simon, age 79, of Independence formerly of Howard , died Sunday, February 17, 2013 at Mercy Hospital in Independence. Arthur was born on November 8, 1933 in Buffalo, New York the son of Ed and Florence (Reynolds) Simon.
After high school, Arthur served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Arthur received his AA from Mesa Community College and worked most of his life in construction and as a steel worker. Arthur was a Christian man, he loved to read, and go fishing when he could. Most of all, Arthur loved his family.
On February 20, 1965 in Burbank, CA, Arthur married Judith I Helms. To this union they had 5 children. Arthur and Judy were married for 48 years, Judy survives at her home.

Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Fritz and Joey Simon and 2 sisters; Judy Theon and Jeanette Eliasz.
Cremation has been requested and the family will hold a private service at a later date.
