Barbara Jean Bishop's Obituary
Barbara Jean Bishop, age 76, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2017. Barbara was born on August 14, 1940 in Anderson, MO, the daughter of Kenneth and Pauline (Cooper) McGuire.
On June 25, 1958 Barbara married Clarence Bishop and they later divorced. He preceded her in death.
Barbara was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She worked as a quality control technician at Kustom Electronics for 35 years. She later worked at Wal-Mart part-time. Barbara loved going to casinos, gardening, and growing flowers in her spare time, but her first love was the Kansas City Royals.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Clarence James McGuire.
A visitation is scheduled for Monday, May 1, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel in Chanute, KS. A funeral service will be on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel and burial will follow at Owsley Union Cemetery in Pineville, MO.
