Bennie Clyde Weatherby's Obituary
Bennie C. Weatherby, age 77, of Fredonia, Kansas passed away Wednesday, August 22, 2007 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. Bennie was born on December 12, 1929 in Miles, Texas to William E. and Edna E. (Baugh) Weatherby. She grew up in the 1930’s and 1940’s in suburbs of Los Angeles.
In her youth Bennie loved to ride motorcycles, and was a member in a biking club. She was an avid watcher of sports; a true Dodger and Kings fan. In her spare time she loved going to the beaches of Los Angeles, swimming and diving, and horse back riding in Fredonia.
While living in southern California in the 1960’s, 70’s and 80’s Bennie worked for Northrup and Litton Corporations, she began an early retirement in Fredonia in 1992. Bennie was a member of Sacred Heart Parish, supported the Fredonia Public Library, and Feline Friends, but her passion was her family and her home.
Bennie was married to Alexander Rich, and had her first daughter in 1952 and they divorced in 1954. In 1956 she married Donald Reed and had 3 children and they divorced in 1976.

11 Grandchildren, 6 Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her sister Earleene Weatherby and her parents.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:00 A.M. Saturday August 25, 2007 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Fredonia with Rosary being recited at 10:30 A.M., with burial at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Fredonia. There will be no visitation.
