Bette Goff's Obituary
A celebration of life service for Mrs. Bette Goff, 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 8, 2012 at Summer Grove United Methodist Church with visitation from 10:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Officiating will be Rev. Mark Bray and Rev. Willis Dear.
Inurnment will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 11, 2012 at Cresco Cemetery north of Howard, Kansas with Pastor Robin Haines officiating.
Mrs. Goff passed away August 3, 2012 after a courageous struggle with lung cancer.
She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, William Goff, and son, Jack Lanning.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Janice Flannery and husband, Bill; brothers, Jack Hileman and wife, Shirley, and Max Hileman and wife, Edie; granddaughters, Sherry Holdeman and Sheila Grayson; 5 great-grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren; and beloved friends, Alice Broome, Bradys Bagley, Mary Lou Black, and Bette Barnett.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Summer Grove United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society. A heartfelt thank you to all the “angels” who were by our side these past few months: our church family, friends, the staff of St. Joseph Hospice, and especially her hospice nurse, Amy Ringheim.
