I'm so sorry Linda & Patti and all the rest of your family for the loss of your Mother & Grandmother. I shared one of those happy gathering once at Betty & George's home once when Jim & I went there for some reason which has slipped my memory as to why but your parents were both so nice and great hostess & lots of fun. Linda I know where you too learned to be such a fantastic hostess. I know that the loss of a Mother is very hard it's one you never seem to get over but just remember she'll always be at your side, as mothers always are. Family please know my thoughts & prayers are with you all today & our tomorrows. I'm sorry for my late condolences I just discovered Betty's passing. May she rest in peace with our Lord.

I've had the great pleasure and honor of living next door to Betty for the past ten years. During that time, my family and I have cared for her as family, a sort of 'fill in' grandma for me, as my own had passed away long before. Betty was one of the most beautiful people I've ever met, inside and out, and a truly genuine individual. I will always admire her strength, as she fought through one battle after another over the past six months, without complaint, and her incredible bond with her entire family. Betty touched the hearts of everyone she encountered, and I am a better person for having known her. My life, and our neighborhood, will not be the same. Rest in Peace Betty, you will be missed.

Linda and Family.. So sorry Kiddo... Your Mom and Dad were such good friends of Sally and Bud's. They made lots of happy, fun memories in Chanute and Grove. Hoping they are all playing " King on the Corner" again, and having that 5 O'clock cocktail, and laughing until it's time to do it again...

I met your Mom, when my Mom and I attended Lyle's burial. In 2004, I started doing genealogy, and, even though she said she had no interest in it, your Mom gave me a lot of help. It was hard for her, but she went to St. Patrick Cemetery, in Walnut, several times, took notes, and gave me the information on the phone. We had more than a few phone conversations, since 2004, not always about genealogy, and I always enjoyed visiting with her. Most recently, she mailed me a copy of the photo of herself, that you're using for her obituary. I had asked for one several times. It's the only picture we have of her! Years before, she mailed me several photos of her parents, that I was delighted to get! I'm sorry for you, but happy for her. Frank Dick, III - Ennis, TX.
