Betty Lou Cole's Obituary
Betty Lou (Fox) Cole, age 84, of Denver, Colorado, passed away Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at her residence. Betty was born on December 17, 1933 in Iola, KS the daughter of John and Lela (Ailstock) Fox.
Betty married Loise Cole in 1949 in Iola, KS and they had five children. They later divorced.
Betty worked as a nurse’s aide at a nursing home in Chanute and she was a supervisor at a warehouse in Denver, CO. Betty was a past member of the AME Methodist Church. She was a member of the Stewardist Bound ministry and also Volunteers of America in Denver, CO. She loved attending music festivals that were held outdoors, especially Jazz Festivals. Betty also enjoyed watching baseball and softball games.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, sons, John Cole and Robert Cole; sisters, Mary Hall and Roslie Rogers, and grandparents, Robert Ailstock and Lou Fox.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2018 at 10 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel 101 N. Highland in Chanute. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to the New Hope Baptist Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
