Betty Marie Fleming's Obituary
Betty Marie Fleming, age 88, of Chanute KS, passed away on November 11, 2018 in Chanute, KS. She was born on October 7, 1930 in Cherryvale, KS to Harold and Lorean (Gudde) Cook. She was a graduate of Neodesha High School Class of 1948.
On September 10, 1950, Betty married Ronald Dean Fleming in Neodesha, KS and they settled in Chanute in 1960. She worked alongside her husband at Fleming Drilling Company, on the family farm, and later with her son at Fleming Music. Betty enjoyed participating in Iola Community Theater productions and attending the activities of her children and grandchildren. As an active member of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS, she was involved in their youth programs, Altar Society, and sang in their choir.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband; nephew, Martin Cook, and infant brother, Donald.
Cremation has been requested. Rosary will be recited on Thursday, November 15, 2018 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Chanute, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Friday, November 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Patrick Catholic Church. Inurnment will follow at St. Patrick Cemetery in Chanute.
