I am so sad to have found out about Aunt Betty not that long ago. I have always had a special fondness for her. I remember that family Thanksgiving at her house with so many of us there. I love you all. Donna

Chris, Rocky, Beth, Karen, Charles and family. Sorry for the loss of your mother Betty. Betty was always so kind. Your mother will be truly missed. Sending positive thoughts, love. Deb Huerter. 🌈🙏😥🌷💖
One of the things I loved doing when visiting the Nelsons was to get Betty to laugh. She would start out pretty serious but before long she would be smiling and laughing. Her cat Goldie seemed to be her favorite. She loved to read keep up with her family whom she loved. It was so hard to lose Kenneth so early, after only 40 years. She was matter-of-fact and plain-spoken, and I always loved coming to visit--unless Chief was loose! We will miss you, Betty!
I loved Aunt Betty's sense of humor. It was the same as her next oldest sibling, my Dad.
Love to my cousins and their families,
Susan Doores
I remember staying at Betty's home in Chanute in 1980 after the Memorial Day picnic. I came with my father, Jack Doores. It was the first time I met any Doores from the Joe Leslie Doores family. Betty was very kind and hospitable to me. She is the last of the double cousins. So glad to have met her.
I remember when I was about 6 years old aunt Betty and aunt Florence would chase me down and smother me with kisses.I acted like I didn’t like it but I loved every minute of it. Bill Doores.
