Betty Jo Ramsey's Obituary
Betty Jo (Vaughn) Ramsey, age 89, of Chanute, KS, passed away while surrounded by her family on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at Diversicare in Chanute. Betty Jo was born on February 15, 1928 in Independence, KS the daughter of Earnest and Lola (Beatrice) Vaughn.
Betty Jo married Oral Lee Ramsey on December 31, 1948 in Carroll County, Arkansas. Oral preceded her in death on June 13, 1970.
Betty Jo enjoyed reading, embroidering and playing board games. She also liked listening to country music and dancing to it. Betty was a hard worker and after the death of her husband, she raised 6 children on her own. She loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty Jo was a member of Grant Avenue Baptist Church in Chanute.

Betty Jo was preceded in death by her parents; husband; a son, Ronald Joe Ramsey, siblings, Edward, Lee, Lawrence, John, Frank, Richard, Sam, Henrietta, Bernadean and Loraine.
Cremation has been requested. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
