Beverly Marie Woodard's Obituary
Beverly Marie Woodard, age 76, of Chanute, KS. passed away Saturday, March 7, 2015 at
Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute, KS.
Beverly was born in Sparland, IL to Wilbur Nighswonger and Velma Crew (Nighswonger) on August 9, 1938. She grew up in Fulton, KS with her two siblings Lily and Tom. She was a loving mother to her four children Edward (Joe), David, Tanya, and Robert.
She was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 4, 1963 and in May of 1980 she started her lifelong career of full time service to Jehovah. She moved to Mound City, KS in the early/mid 80’s and in 1986 she married Charles Woodard. They enjoyed spending time in the Bible educational work, and working in the HVAC department on Kingdom Hall building projects. Chuck and Beverly even spent time in Puerto Rico helping in the construction of an Assembly Hall. They moved to Chanute, KS in September 1998 and in October 2000, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Chuck. Beverly continued to spend the majority of her time sharing Bible truths that she treasured until her death.
Beverly is survived by: her children Edward Strother, David Strother, Tanya Davis and husband Ralph, Robert Strother and wife Annette; siblings: Lily Kite and husband Alf, Thomas Nighswonger and wife Glenda; 17 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Cremation has taken place with Countryside Funeral Home, handling the arrangements.
