Bill Gene Murphy's Obituary
Bill Gene Murphy, 87, of Howard, Kansas passed away June 22nd, 2024 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas. Bill was born on November 6th, 1936 to his Father Joe Taft Murphy and Mother Gracie Webb.
Bill was a General Contractor for most of his life, Bill was known for his hard work, so much so that his hobbies included more hard work such as bailing hay and cutting firewood. Outside of hard work Bill loved his grandchildren, always making trips to see them when he could.

Son- Mike Murphy and his wife Brenda
Siblings- Margie Bradley and her husband Steve
Jodene Wray and her husband Ron
Nellie Seleck and her husband Wayne
David Murphy and his wife Angie
Rick Murphy and his wife DeDe
Tom Adsmond
Grand Children- Brandon, Daniel, Ashley, Shelly, Marshall, Joe, Hunter, and Henry
Great Grand Children- Zaylee, Amelia, Emma, Kennedy, Hollyn, Olivia, and Keegan
Bill is Preceded in death by His wife Marilyn Murphy, Father Joe Taft Murphy, Mother Gracie Webb, Son Scott Murphy, Sisters Evelyn and Betty, and Brother Bob.
A Graveside Memorial Service will be held Friday July 5th, 2024 at Grace Lawn Cemetery Pavilion in Howard, Kansas at 10:00 AM. Memorials can be made out to the St. Jude Children’s hospital and may be left with or mailed to Countryside Funeral Home 206 E. Washington St. P.O Box 1233 Howard, Kansas 67349.
