Bill Dale Reinhardt's Obituary
Bill Dale Reinhardt, age 80, of Chanute, KS passed away on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 in Wichita, KS. Bill was born on March 5, 1936 in Chanute, KS the son of Earl B. and Esther (Malson) Reinhardt.
On February 7, 1971, Bill married Bunita Cole in Emporia, Kansas. She survives him.
Bill was a partner of a family farm for many years. He attended school at Kansas State University for a few years before earning his Bachelor’s degree from Washburn University in Topeka. He was a member of the Kiwanis and the Republican National Committee. He served on the Chanute school board for 8 years and spent 2 years serving as a representative in the Kansas State Legislature. Bill was very involved with Farm Bureau and with the Chanute Chamber of Commerce. He was always following politics and was an active member of the local Republican Party. During his free time he loved to read, spend time with family and close friends, and talk politics or K-State sports with anyone. Bill was a member of the Big Creek United Methodist Church for many years before attending the First Baptist Church in Chanute later in life.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, March 14, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the First Baptist Church Good News Center in Chanute. Inurnment will be at Big Creek Cemetery and will take place privately at the convenience of the family. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Families request memorials to the Fire Escape Coffeehouse and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Services have been entrusted to: Countryside Funeral Home 101 N.
