Billie Joy Knight's Obituary
Billie “Joy†Knight, age 85, a resident of Severy, Kansas passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at her home. She was born on February 15, 1927 in Severy the daughter of William Walter and Rosa Lee (Frost) Sexton.
On February 22, 1944, Joy was united in marriage to Ted Knight at Howard, Kansas. Joy and Ted made their home in the Severy community during most of their married life. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Joy was a member of the Severy Baptist Church and helped for many years with the church dinners.
Joy is survived by two daughters, Judy Proctor of Severy, Kansas and Dianna Schneider of Kansas City, Missouri, eight grandchildren, twenty one great grandchildren, eleven great-great grandchildren and a host of others that called her Grandma. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted, one son Larry Knight, one daughter Connie Adler, one great granddaughter Adrianne Finch, three brothers and six sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Severy Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Pameticky officiating. Interment will be held at South Lawn Cemetery. Family suggests memorials to the Joy Knight Memorial Fund and may be left with the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
