Billie Jean See's Obituary
Billie Jean See, 82, of Chanute, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2014 at the Diversicare Nursing Home in Chanute.
Billie was born in Chanute on August 23, 1931, the daughter of George
A. Sr., and Nellie Pauline (Cockrell) Gregeory. She graduated from Chanute High School.
She was united in marriage to Elmer Dale See on December 25, 1952 at the First Christian Church in Chanute. He preceded her in death on March 4, 2014.
Billie was a homemaker and was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She is survived by three daughters, Ginny Boos and her husband Larry of Overland Park, KS, Rita Taylor and Cheryl Doughty, both of Chanute; a son, Roy See and his wife Cindy of Chanute; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents George and Nellie Gregeory; her husband, Elmer See; a sister, Dorothy Davis; and a brother, George Gregeory, Jr.
Cremation has taken place.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 4, 2014 at the Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel in Chanute. Inurnment will follow at the Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials in her name may be made to the American Legion Post Auxiliary or Harry Hynes Hospice and may be left with the funeral home.
Services have been entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home Gibson Chapel.
