Billy Lee Mac Cready's Obituary
Billy Lee Mac Cready age 83 of Grenola, KS died Friday, February 2, 2018 at his home. Billy was born on February 25, 1934 in Thayer, KS the son of Harry and Gracie Marie (Webb) Mac Cready. When Bill was just 6 weeks old, he lost his mother and a 3 year old brother to a fire. Bill was then raised by his aunt and uncle, Charlie and Elsie Webb.
Bill worked for the railroad, out in the oil fields and as a school custodian. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing, and was a volunteer fireman for several years. He enjoyed helping his son with recycling, and loved to visit with people and share stories about the railroad. Bill was also known to be a good cook, a good husband, and a good friend to all that knew him.
On May 5, 1973 Bill married Loretta Rae Humphries, at the Grenola Christian Church, and she survives at their home. Bill and Loretta Rae were married for 44 years.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, and Charlie and Elsie Webb. 3 children; Daughters-Jeanine Hull, and Billy Jo Mac Cready and son: Charles Mac Cready. 2 brothers; Sidney and Don Mac Cready, 1 Sister; Grace Marie Hull.
Cremation has been requested. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at the Grenola Christian Church at 10:30 AM.
