Billy L. Stewart's Obituary
Billy Lynn Stewart, a resident of Severy, KS, passed away on Friday, September 10 at Cox Medical Center in Springfield, MO. He was born on December 10, 1955 to Marvin Lee and Mamie Louise (Davis) Stewart. Billy grew up learning the value of hard work and family. He was a fourth-generation farmer. He learned the cattle trade from his Grandfather and traditions carried down from his father. Billy graduated from Howard Community High School and attended Butler Community College. On October 15, 1993, Billy married Virginia Langston. Billy was a hard worker, a loving husband and loyal friend. He was a simple man, honest and he was raised in a generation of men, where a handshake is a code of honor and integrity. He will be sorely missed.
Billy was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Harold Stewart and an uncle Francis Stewart.
He is survived by his wife Virginia Stewart of the home

Christopher (Trena) Stewart, Joplin, MO.
Chrystal Stewart, Joplin, MO.
Stepchildren:
Carolynn (Eric) Glasford San Jose, Illinois.
Amy (Scott) Vick, Canton, Illinois.
Jenny (Larry) Byrd, South Pekin, Illinois.
Grandchildren:
Stephanie Irby, Marvin Irby, Kaitlyn Vick, Jessica Vick, Joshua Vick, Madison Vick, Jordan Lemons, and Garret Byrd.
And one great-grandson, Jedison Schubert.
Billy will be laid to rest on Thursday, September 23, 2021. A private service will be held for his wife, friends and neighbors will be held at a later date.
Memorials have been suggested to Eureka Hospital for COVID equipment or to the family to assist with medical expenses and can be mailed to or left with the funeral home.
