Bonnie Jean Knabe's Obituary
Bonnie Jean Knabe, age 82, of Moline, Kansas passed away Saturday, October 11, 2008 at the Howard Twilight Manor Nursing Home in Howard, Kansas. Bonnie was born on July 3, 1926 in Chautauqua County, Kansas the daughter of Clarence and Katie (Purkey) Knabe.
Bonnie was a graduate of Moline High School. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moline. Through her working years Bonnie was a waitress at various restaurants in different locations. She retired from Woolworths Lunch Counter in Wichita.
Bonnie is survived by five sisters: Betty Sallee and Martha Cooley of Moline, Kansas, Kathryn Doshier of Wichita, Kansas, Sue Mills of Derby, Kansas, and Mary Riney of Lakewood, Colorado, one sister-in-law Phyllis Knabe of Arvada, Colorado, and niece and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother George Fred Knabe.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, October 14, 2008 at the First Baptist Church in Moline. Visitation will be from 2 to 8 PM Monday at Zimmerman Funeral Home in Howard. Interment will be at Moline Cemetery. Contributions are suggested to either Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or the First Baptist Church in Moline and may be left with the funeral home.
