Bonnie R. Walker's Obituary
Bonnie R. Walker, age 81 of Fredonia, died Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at Fredonia Regional Hospital. In Washington, Missouri, on August 20, 1933 Bonnie was born to Pleasant Franklin and Ruth Vada (Ferrell) Shelton.
Bonnie was a graduate of New Haven, MO. high school class of 1951. On May 16, 1954 in Green City, MO. at the Prairie Chapel Methodist Church, she married Jerald Walker. Bonnie and Jerald were married for 60 years and Jerald survives at their home.
Bonnie started working as a nurse in Missouri and when they moved to Fredonia she continued working at Fredonia Regional and retired after 30 years. Bonnie then operated her Day Care Center for more than 10 years here in Fredonia. Bonnie loved to visit with people, going to garage sales, auctions and making quilts. She also enjoyed watching birds, working in her garden, canning and cooking for her family. Most of all, Bonnie was proud of her family and being married for over 60 years to her love Jerald.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and brother; Charles Samuel Shelton
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:00 am at the Sacred Heart
Catholic Church with Father Jeremy Huser officiating, with burial to follow at the Fredonia City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday from 5-7 pm at Countryside Funeral Home in Fredonia.
