Brenda Joy Kleyn's Obituary
Brenda Joy Kleyn, 67, passed away on December 29, 2018. She was born in Pontiac, MI to Ralph D and Lucille (Parker) Jenks on September 15, 1951. On October 6, 1971, she married Jack Kleyn in Kalkaska, MI and they shared 48 years together. He survives at their home.
Brenda was a loving wife and mom who was a born caregiver. She worked as a registered nurse for many years and was one of the best of the best. She gave continuously, and helped others, while never expecting anything in return. Those who knew her in a professional capacity knew her work spoke for itself, and the praise she received from patients and coworkers only inspired her to work even harder. Brenda loved her hobby of making wooden santa clauses with hand-sewn clothing, each one an original. She also enjoyed quilting, hand-sewing every stitch. Crocheting, gardening, and fishing with Jack were also some of her hobbies, but traveling in their motorhome on short vacations to Colorado and New Mexico were where she truly enjoyed making memories. She will be missed greatly by all who knew her.
