Bud Audiss' Obituary
Bud Audiss, age 83, of Chanute, Kansas, passed away Tuesday, August 1, 2017 in Chanute. Bud was born on December 27, 1933 in Rose, KS the son of Orval and Pauline Mary (Morrison) Audiss. He was raised by Orval and Ivy Bell (Caudell) Audiss.
Bud attended Benedict High School. He married Reva Jean Stanislaus on July 29, 1951 in Eureka Springs, AR. Bud worked as a salesman for Pepsi Cola for 12 years and Mid America Refining Co. for 22 years. He also owned and operated crude oil trucks leased to Square Deal Oil Co. and Fairway Crude Marketing and was later bought out by Enron Oil and Gas. He later went to work for Enron in sales and transportation following up with retirement. He was a great story teller and always seemed to remember the exact date and time everything took place. Bud enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time at Timberlake. Bud was a scout master for 7 years and coached little league baseball for 15 years. Bud most of all loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed.

Bud was preceded in death by his parents; step mother, Ivy Bell; brother, A.J. Audiss; granddaughter, Lisa Jean McGuffy and grandson, Blane Audiss.
A visitation will be on Thursday, August 3, 2017 from 6-8 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel 16 N. Forest, Chanute, KS. A funeral service will be held on Friday, August 4, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at Countryside Funeral Home – Gibson Chapel. Interment will following at Memorial Park Cemetery in Chanute KS. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com. Memorials have been suggested to the American Legion Post 170 Baseball and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home.
