Carl Barton's Obituary
Carl Barton, age 85, of Neodesha, formerly of Fredonia, passed away with his family by his side Sunday, November 13, 2016 at Neodesha Care and Rehabilitation Center in Neodesha, KS. Carl was born January 30, 1931 in Oilton, OK to Ed and Julia Barton.
Carl served in the Army from 1948-1950.He worked for the City of Wichita from 1960-1962. Then him and his wife moved to Spreckles, California with their 2 sons where he worked for the City of Spreckles. They decided California wasn't for them so moved back to Wichita. He then started his own tree service until retiring in 1993 at the age of 62. Carl was a lifetime member of VFW.
Until Carl's health started failing he enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, trapping and picking up and cracking walnuts and pecans. He enjoyed trapping so much he owned his own fur business as a second job and bought furs for many years. He also enjoyed going to Johnson's every morning for coffee where he met many friends.
April 10, 1960 Carl was united in marriage to Jeanette Frye.in Wichita, KS. They were married for 56 years.
Carl is survived by his wife Jeanette of Neodesha.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Arthur, James, and Robert and sister Bertha.
Visitation will be Wednesday November 16, 2016 at Countryside Funeral Home, Fredonia, from 6:30pm-8:30pm. Graveside services will be Thursday November 17, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Ray Pile officiating in the Altoona, KS Cemetery.
