Carla Mae Zirhut's Obituary
Carla Mae Zirhut, 80, passed away at home in the loving presence and care of family on April 19, 2014.
She was born as Carla Mae Nielsen on June 7, 1933 to Christina Mae (Fleming) and Ben Nielsen in Seattle, WA. Carla married Frank Linhardt in July of 1953. They moved to Missouri with their two young children in 1957, and later divorced. In Missouri, Carla enjoyed a long and successful career at Southwestern Bell. While there, she met David Lee Zirhut, with whom she fell deeply in love. They joined their families through marriage in 1984 and loved each other dearly until his death in 2013.
She is cherished and missed by her surviving family: her son, Michael Linhardt, her daughter, Debi Willis, and the many grandchildren and great-grandchildren in her large and loving family. She will always be missed and never far from their hearts. In death, Carla rejoins her parents, her husband, and her brother, David Nielsen.
