Carol Lynn Anderson's Obituary
Carol Lynn Anderson (Ikehorn) loving mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully next to the love of life and partner of 22 years, Gary Wiles on May 4th, 2025, at her home in Chanute KS. Carol was the third of four children born to Francis Ward (Clayton) and Raymond Ikehorn on July 5th, 1958, she was 66 years old. She married Lane Leach in August of 1975, and she had her only child, Brandon Leach. She lived the entirety of her life in Chanute and worked at Nu-Wa Campers, owner of Super Video, and a store manager.
Carol was preceded in death by both of her parents, and her brother, Randall Ikehorn. She is survived by partner Gary Wiles, her son Brandon Leach (Overland Park, KS), grandson Clayton Leach (Derby, KS), sister and brother-in-law Sharon and Steve Phillips (Olathe, KS), sister Patty Olson (Chanute, KS), she also had four nephews and one niece, four great nephews and three great nieces, two great, great nephews and two great nieces. Known for her generous spirit, Carol always put others first, especially her family and friends. She found joy in spending time with her family, taking care of animals, doing puzzles, and loved doing yard work and outdoor gardening.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Countryside Funeral Home and a celebration of life will be held on Sunday, May 18th from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the American Legion Post 170, 301 N. Evergreen, Chanute, KS.
