Carol Ann Crismas' Obituary
Carol Ann Crismas was born on January 26, 1938, in Erie, Kansas, to Merle and Eva Byington. Carol spent her life in Chanute, Kansas, where she married and, with her husband Bob, built a life centered around family, love, and service to the community.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Crismas, and her daughter, DeAnn Renee Horton‑Card.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Jane Reeves; her son, Ronald D. Crismas; her grandchildren, Kirk Horton, Percy Totten, Eris Totten, Abygail Crismas, and Austin Crismas; and many more close family members too numerous to name.
Carol and Bob shared a life filled with warmth, family, and treasured memories, including time spent traveling with friends to enjoy good meals and concerts together.
Carol was known for her kind heart, strong spirit, and the love she gave so freely to her family. She found joy in the everyday moments of life, and her presence brought comfort to those around her. Her love, wisdom, and steady strength will be remembered always.
Holidays held a special place in Carol’s heart and in the hearts of her family, as it was a time when they came home to gather together and share in the warmth of being with one another.
Visitation will be held at Countryside Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 from 10:00am to 11:00am. Funeral service will follow at 11:00am with burial at East Hill Cemetery in Erie, Kansas.
