Carolyn Faye Joyce's Obituary
Carolyn Faye Joyce, age 68, of Buffalo, KS passed away December 26, 2014 in Neodesha, KS. Carolyn was born May 26, 1946 in Buffalo, KS the daughter of John R. and Millie J. (Miller) Johnson.
Carolyn married Patrick Joyce on April 24, 1965 in Hartford, North Carolina. She worked as a School Bus Driver for 19 years in the Altoona-Midway School District. She retired in 2001 and turned her attention to her kids and grandkids. Carolyn enjoyed traveling to Dexter and Olathe to see her grandkids play everything from soccer to basketball and more. She was blessed with 3 great grandchildren as well and often drove to Fredonia for visits. Carolyn always went out of her way to stop and visit with family and friends. She was also a member of the Buffalo Church of the Nazarene.
Carolyn is survived by her husband of 49 years, Patrick Joyce, son; Steven Joyce and fiancé Catheryn of Dexter, KS, daughter; Stacey Joyce Miller and husband Craig of Olathe, KS, 8 grandchildren (Amanda, Andrew, Ashley, Elizabeth, Darion, Britnee, Bryce and Brooklyn) and 3 great grandchildren (Ella, Karter and Jase).
She was preceded in death by her parents, sister; Donna Joyce and brother; Robert Johnson.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 30, 2014 5-7 p.m. at Countryside Funeral Home,
Gibson Chapel. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, December 31, 2014 11:00 a.m. at Church of the Nazarene in Buffalo, KS. Interment will follow at Buffalo Cemetery.
Family suggests memorials to Buffalo Nazarene Church and may be left with or mailed to the funeral home. Countryside Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
