Carolyn Jean Kisner's Obituary
Carolyn Jean Kisner of Chanute, Kansas, passed away at Journey Home on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, surrounded by her family.
Carolyn Jean (Hoke) Kisner was born to George and Cora (Willett) Hoke on October 24, 1944 in Iola, Kansas, the only surviving child.
Carolyn and her family attended the Nazarene Church in Iola, Kansas, where she met Neil Kisner. On March 28, 1965, Neil and Carolyn were united in marriage.
Carolyn enjoyed watching her children’s activities and going to sing at the nursing homes.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents George and Cora Hoke, step-mother Mildred Hoke, two siblings, her beloved husband Neil Kisner, Sr., and a daughter in law Vickie Kisner.
Carolyn is survived by her children Cora (Mark) McGaugh of Fredonia, KS, Neil Kisner, Jr. of Chanute, KS, and Linda Harris of Chanute, KS; brother-in-law Richard Kisner of Rogersville, MO, sister-in-law of Custer, OK, Tom Kisner of Des Moines, IA, grandchildren Adrian Harris, Blake (Emily) Kisner, Cameron Harris, Mitchell Habiger, great grandson Kai Harris, and her very special friends Heather Cook and Courtney Vest.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 at 2:00 pm at Lighthouse Community Church of God, 816 Iowa Street, Neodesha, Kansas 66757. Services entrusted to Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland, Chanute, Kansas 66720.
