Carolyon Ruth Brown's Obituary
Carolyon Ruth Brown, 83, passed away on Sunday, November 5, 2023, at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, KS. Carolyon was born on September 17, 1940, in Howard, KS the daughter of Henry C. and Vinnie Blanche (MacIntire) Keene.
Carolyon worked hard at taking care of her family, she was not able to complete high school, but made sure to continue her studies and did receive her GED, prior to her own children completing school. Carolyon married Kenneth Callier and he passed away in 1998. She then married L. D. Brown, and he also passed away.
Carolyon loved to cook for her family, she especially enjoyed the holidays and thanksgiving dinner where she prepared, cooked, served and provided all she could for her family. Carolyon was a seamstress, she loved to sew, quilt and crochet. But most importantly, she loved her grandchildren, and was so proud of having 3 Great-Great Grandchildren.

Son: Kris Callier and wife Colleen of Haysville, KS
Sister-in-law: June Callier of California
9 Grandchildren, 21 Great Grandchildren and 3 Great-Great Grandchildren
Carolyon was preceded in death by her parents, husbands Kenneth Callier and L.D. Brown, a daughter Lutrecia Callier, 1 great-great granddaughter, and 2 brother in laws and 2 sister in laws.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 8, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Countryside Funeral home in Fredonia. No memorials were requested. Online condolences may be left at www.countrysidefh.com.
