Carrie Sue Ellison's Obituary
Carrie Sue Ellison, age 57, left this earth after battling pancreatic cancer and went to be with her great grandparents: Samuel Curry and Pearl Lilian Greek on Dec. 25, 2014.
Carrie was born on January 15, 1957 in Springfield, MO; the daughter of James Clarence Barnett and Barbara Sue Bailey.
In 1977, Carrie married James Steven Ellison Sr., and had three kids: Shannon, Jamie and James Jr. Carrie and James Sr. later divorced.
Carrie Sue Ellison was preceded in death by her father and great grandparents.
She is survived by her mother Barbara; children: Shannon Joseph Barnett of Chanute, Jamie Sue (Ellison) Fugate of Chanute, and James Steven Ellison Jr. and wife Brenda of Springfield, MO, 8 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild. In addition Carrie is also survived by her companion of 23 years, Jerry Dean McDown and step-dad Dale E. Bailey.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Dec. 30, 2014 from 5:00-7:00PM at Countryside Funeral Home- Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS, with cremation to follow. Memorials are suggested to American Cancer Society or National Down Syndrome Society and may be sent in care of Countryside Funeral Home 101 N. Highland Chanute, KS 66720.
