Cary James Bockover Jr.'s Obituary
Cary “Bub” James Bockover, Jr., age 73, formerly of Chanute, KS passed away on Monday, October 3, 2016 surrounded by family at his home in Parsons, KS. Cary was born on July 11, 1943 in Independence, KS to Cary James Bockover, Sr. and Emma (Caldwell) Bockover.
On July 11, 1975 he married Carol Ann Morrison in Moran, KS. Carol survives him at their home.
Cary worked doing many jobs including working as a truck driver, for a laundry company, for ILC, and finally for Ruskin MFG as a sheet metal worker. He grew up in Chanute lived there most of his life before moving to Parsons, KS in 1985.
In his free time Cary loved to bowl, play bingo and play horseshoes. He was a member and former secretary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, as well as a member of the VFW and the sheet metal workers union.

Cary was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Lisa Ann Bockover; a granddaughter, Alawna Deweese; and a sister, Linda O’dell.
A funeral service will be held Friday, October 7, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at the Countryside Funeral Home, Johnson Chapel in Chanute, KS. A visitation will be held on Thursday, October 6, 2016 from 5-7 p.m. at the funeral home. Online condolences may be left at: www.countrysidefh.com.
